Dear Children,
Run, run, run, as fast as you can, you can’t catch me, I’m the Gingerbread Man! I have decided to go find stories from around the world for your teacher to read to you because I know how much she loves books! I borrowed your cookies so that I would not get hungry while I was on my trip. I left your teacher some money so she could buy you some more cookies because I know that she wanted you to make a graph with them.
I decided to start right here in the United States to learn more about all the places you can visit. You can see the beautiful red wood trees in California, Mount Rushmore in South Dakota and the White House in Washington D.C. I am including a book all about me! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.
When you are done reading, check out the pictures I’ve included showing you places in the Unites States. Be sure to enter this information into your passport so you can travel on to other countries! Also, I am including a map so you can keep track of where I travel. You can use thumbtacks to mark the spots where I go.
Your friend,
The Gingerbread Man
